A Little Taste of Last Weekend's Studio Work...

A beautiful pair of side chairs began their rehabilitation process with a lot of elbow grease, and some help from Annie Sloan's Paris Grey and Old White chalk paint! These adorable chairs are just waiting for the final finish and a pop of color from their new seat upholstery. We didn't realize until we began to refinish a darling little French chest how well the chairs might look flanking the chest. Visions of a beautiful little girl's room come to mind, or even a charming guest bedroom.  Below, is a portion of the French chest as we worked on it in stages.
The applique work on this piece just made it after we highlighted it with a little work.

Another piece in progress is this large antique triple sconce. Originally done in a gilt paint, we decided to update it for a more modern setting. It's not quite finished, but it's going to look fabulous on the right wall as the center showpiece!

This shot is just the center lower portion of the sconce. Approximately 22" inches in length, the piece is much larger than the portion photographed. These are just a few of the pieces that consumed last weekend, and we'll show you the finished products before the week is out.
